The Strike King Hybrid Hunter Crankbait is a unique new shallow diving hard lure with loads of fish-attracting swimming action in the 2 to 5 foot depth range. As Strike King pro staff member and designer of the Hybrid Hunter, Todd Castledine, likes to describe it, "it's kinda in between a crankbait, jerkbait, and a Red Eyed Shad [lipless crankbait]." This is because it can be thrown with a stop-and-start retrieve like you would fish a jerkbait, a straight and steady like you would fish a shallow squarebill crankbait, or burned quickly back to the boat like a lipless crankabit. 

But no matter how you retrieve it, Castledine designed this lure first and foremost to run in shallow grass flats where many larger profile crankbaits would struggle with getting snagged due to their tendency to "dig in" towards the bottom. To get around this issue, the Hybrid Hunter has a L-shaped lip helps keep bait on a horizontal plane so you don't have to worry about it hitting bottom and snagging.
