Daiwa Rebellion 2-Piece Casting Rods are a new series of premium, tournament-grade bass fishing casting rods that can be broken down into two pieces for easy transport and storage. Daiwa developed the Rebellion series of rods to embody an innovative, mold-breaking spirit that elevates rod performance without also jacking up the product's price. Designed and crafted with the aesthetics, build specifications and features of custom high-end rods, yet priced just under a $200 MSRP, these rods are one of Daiwa's new flagship offerings for serious freshwater bass anglers.
All models feature Daiwa's Braiding-X technology to prevent torsion caused by repeated casting and powerful hooksets, which in turn facilitates dramatically improved power, operability, and sensitivity over the life of the rod. Rebellion rods are also equipped with Daiwa's X45 Technology, which consists of a 45-degree bias construction that prevents twisting of the blank for greater strength, sensitivity, and hook setting power.
Additionally, as opposed to standard carbon rods, which have a higher resin content in the space between the carbon fibers, Daiwa's HVF (High Volume Fiber) rods such as these are made of a carbon fiber compound with less resin. By reducing the amount of resin in the blank, the rods are significantly lighter and more sensitive.
The rod's 2-piece construction also makes high-performance bass rods like the Rebellion series more appealing to anglers with limited storage and travel options, or who those simply appreciate the convenience of a multi-section rod. There is also no evidence to suggest a properly set-up modern 2-piece rod is more prone to tackle failure than a 1-piece - so rod section count should be thought of as a matter of personal preference, not a trade-off between reliability and convenience.
Finally, rounding out the impressive list of high-end technologies, the Rebellion rods feature Daiwa's Air Sensor reel seat. This reel seat is built using a carbon fiber material to maximize sensitivity and power, while also lowering overall rod weight.
Available in 3 rod length, power, and action variations.
